NextGenPath Diagnostics handles a broad range of skin biopsies.
Dermatopathology is a sub-speciality of Histopathology that deals with diseases of skin.
Skin biopsy interpretation requires an expert dermatopathologist and a panel of special stains with or without immunoflourescence, immunohistochemistry, ultrastructural and molecular studies.
Method of sending the biopsy to our lab: A 3-4mm punch biopsy of skin in 10% neutral buffered formalin.
The Michel's transport medium will be provided from our lab if autoimmune diseases of the skin are suspected.
2.5% buffered glutaraldehyde for electron microscopy will be provided at request.
Samples are received 24x7 on all days.
